Biography of William Penney

William Penney (* 24. June 1909 in Gibraltar; † 3. March 1991 in East Hendred) was a britischer Physiker. He was 81 years old. His education included Royal College of Science, University of Cambridge, University of Groningen, Imperial College London, University of Wisconsin–Madison and Gilberd School. He worked at Imperial College London, Manhattan Project, Atomic Weapons Establishment and United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority. He received 9 awards, including Fellow of the Royal Society, Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire. He was buried at cremation.
