Biography of Wolfgang Petersen

Wolfgang Petersen (* 14. March 1941 in Emden; † 12. August 2022 in Brentwood) was a german film director. He was 81 years old. He was married to Ursula Sieg and Marie-Antoinette Borgel. He had 1 child. His education included German Film and Television Academy Berlin and Gelehrtenschule des Johanneums. His awards include Bavarian Order of Merit and Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. His cause of death was pancreatic cancer. He was buried at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery.
