Biography of Yatabe Ryōkichi

Yatabe Ryōkichi (* 13. October 1851 in Izunokuni; † 7. August 1899 in Kamakura) was a japanischer Botaniker und Lyriker. He was 47 years old. He studied at Cornell University. He worked at Tokyo University of Education and University of Tokyo. He was awarded the Order of the Sacred Treasure, 6th class. His cause of death was drowning. He was buried at Yanaka Cemetery.
