Remembering Tim Curry. 🕯️ The life of the British actor and singer came to an end on 25 August 2026, at the age of 80. He became famous in 1975 as Dr. Frank N. Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. 3 things about Tim Curry: • He played Frank N. Furter on the stage of the Royal Court Theatre in London first, only then on film. More than 50 years on, the film is still being shown in cinemas. • In 1990 he was the clown Pennywise in Stephen King's It, in 1992 the concierge in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. • You knew his voice even without his face: as Chancellor Palpatine in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and as Professor van Helsing in the audiobook Dracula, which won an Audie Award in 2012. In 2025 his memoir Vagabond was published. In September 2025 Tim Curry celebrated the 50th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show with his fans in Los Angeles.
