Biografie von José Mutis

José Mutis (* 6. April 1732 in Cádiz; † 11. September 1808 in Bogotá) war spanischer Botaniker und Mathematiker. Er wurde 76 Jahre alt. Sein Ausbildung umfasste die Universität Sevilla, Colegio de San Hermenegildo, Royal Court of the Proto Medicato und die Royal College of Surgery of the Spanish Navy. Er arbeitete unter anderem bei Jardín botánico de Migas Calientes, Vizekönigreich Neugranada und Our Lady of the Rosary University. Sein Glaube war römisch-katholische Kirche. Seine Todesursache war Schlaganfall. Er wurde in Capilla de La Bordadita beigesetzt.
