Biography of Andrei Petrowitsch Kapiza

Andrei Petrowitsch Kapiza (* 9. July 1931 in Cambridge; † 2. August 2011 in Moscow) was a russischer Geograph und Antarktisforscher. He was 80 years old. His education included MSU Faculty of Geography and Lomonosov Moscow State University. He worked at Lomonosov Moscow State University. His awards include USSR State Prize, Order of the Red Banner of Labour and Honoured Science Worker of the Russian Federation. He was buried at Moscow Oblast.
