Dmitry Yazov (* 8. November 1924 in Yazovo; † 25. February 2020 in Moscow) was a soviet minister of defence. He was 95 years old. His education included Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia, Moscow Higher Military Command School and M.V. Frunze Military Academy. He received 10 awards, including Order of Lenin, Medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945". He was buried at Federal Military Memorial Cemetery.
