Ernst Boris Chain (* 19. June 1906 in Berlin; † 12. August 1979 in Castlebar) was a deutsch-britischer Biochemiker und Bakteriologe. He was 73 years old. He was married to Anne Beloff-Chain. His education included Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Imperial College School of Medicine. He worked at Imperial College London, University of Oxford, Istituto Superiore di Sanità and Charité.
