Biography of Harald Ulrik Sverdrup

Harald Ulrik Sverdrup (* 15. November 1888 in Sogndal Municipality; † 21. August 1957 in Oslo) was a norwegischer Ozeanograph. He was 68 years old. His education included University of Oslo and Leipzig University. He worked at University of Bergen, Geophysical Institute, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of Bergen and Norwegian Polar Institute. He received 7 awards, including Commander of the Order of St. Olav‎, Alexander Agassiz Medal.
