Biography of Henry Heimlich

Henry Heimlich (* 3. February 1920 in Wilmington; † 17. December 2016 in Cincinnati) was an american surgeon widely credited as the inventor of the Heimlich maneuver. He was 96 years old. His education included Cornell University, Weill Cornell Medicine and New Rochelle High School. He was awarded the Lasker-Bloomberg Public Service Award. His cause of death was myocardial infarction. He was buried at Spring Grove Cemetery.
