Jacques Cousteau (* 11. June 1910 in Saint-André-de-Cubzac; † 25. June 1997 in 17th arrondissement of Paris) was a french naval officer, oceanographer, filmmaker and author. He was 87 years old. He was married to Simone Melchior. He had at least 1 child (1 son). His education included École Navale and Collège Stanislas de Paris. He received 10 awards, including Commander of the Legion of Honour, Croix de guerre 1939–1945. His cause of death was acute myocardial infarction.
