Biography of John Barbirolli

John Barbirolli (* 2. December 1899 in London; † 29. July 1970 in London) was a britischer Dirigent und Cellist. He was 70 years old. He was married to Evelyn Barbirolli. His education included Royal Academy of Music and St Clement Danes School. He worked at Royal Academy of Music. He received 7 awards, including Commander First Class of the Order of the White Rose of Finland, Royal Philharmonic Society Gold Medal. He was buried at St Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Kensal Green.
