John Barron (* 23. December 1911 in Napier; † 1. January 1991) was a new Zealand-British surgeon. He was 79 years old. His education included Whanganui Collegiate School and University of Otago. He worked at Christchurch Hospital, Royal Masonic Hospital and Royal Postgraduate Medical School. His awards include honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Order of the Yugoslav Star.
