Juri Alexejewitsch Gagarin (* 9. March 1934 in Klushino; † 27. March 1968 in Novosyolovo) was a sowjetischer Kosmonaut, der erste Mensch im Weltraum. He was 34 years old. He was married to Walentina Iwanowna Gagarina. His education included Saratov Pedagogical College, Orenburg Military Aviation Piloting High School, Zhukovsky Air Force Engineering Academy and Lyubertsy technical school. He worked at Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union and Central Committee of the AULYCL. He received 10 awards, including Hero of the Soviet Union, Gold Star medal. His cause of death was aircraft crash. He was buried at Kremlin Wall Necropolis.
