Biography of Lawrence Oates

Lawrence Oates (* 17. March 1880 in Putney; † 17. March 1912 in Ross Ice Shelf) was a britischer Polarforscher. He was 32 years old. His education included Eton College and Willington School. His awards include Victoria Cross, Polar Medal and Queen's South Africa Medal. His cause of death was hypothermia.
