Biography of Mary Jobe Akeley

Mary Jobe Akeley (* 29. January 1878 in Ohio; † 19. July 1966 in Stonington) was an uS-amerikanische Entdeckerin, Naturforscherin, Fotografin, Kartografin und Autorin. She was 88 years old. She was married to Carl Ethan Akeley. Her education included Columbia University, Bryn Mawr College and Scio College. She worked at Hunter College. Her awards include Connecticut Women's Hall of Fame and Ohio Women's Hall of Fame. She was buried at Patterson Union Cemetery.
