Biography of Stephen Spender

Stephen Spender (* 28. February 1909 in Kensington; † 16. July 1995 in London) was a britischer Dichter und Autor. He was 86 years old. He was married to Natasha Spender and Inez Maria Pearn. He had at least 1 child (1 son). His education included University College, Oxford, Gresham's School, Blundell's School, Hall School, University College School and lycée Georges-Clemenceau. He worked at University College London, University of Cincinnati, National Fire Service and Northwestern University. He received 6 awards, including Commander of the Order of the British Empire, King’s / Queen’s Gold Medal for Poetry. He was buried at St Mary on Paddington Green Church.
