Biography of William Whewell

William Whewell (* 24. May 1794 in Lancaster; † 6. March 1866 in Cambridge) was a britischer Philosoph und Wissenschaftshistoriker. He was 71 years old. He was married to Everina Frances Ellis. His education included Trinity College, Lancaster Royal Grammar School, Dallam School and University of Cambridge. He worked at Trinity College and University of Cambridge. His faith was Anglicanism. He received 6 awards, including Fellow of the Royal Society, Royal Medal. He was buried at Trinity College Chapel.
