Biography of Øystein Ore

Øystein Ore (* 7. October 1899 in Christiania; † 13. August 1968 in Oslo) was a norwegischer Mathematiker. He was 68 years old. His education included University of Oslo, University of Göttingen and Oslo Cathedral School. He worked at Yale University and University of Oslo. His awards include Guggenheim Fellowship and Knight First Class of the Order of St. Olav‎. He was buried at Grove Street Cemetery.
