Biography of Charles Mackerras

Charles Mackerras (* 17. November 1925 in Schenectady; † 14. July 2010 in London) was an australian conductor. He was 84 years old. His education included Sydney Conservatorium of Music and University of Sydney. He received 10 awards, including Commander of the Order of the British Empire, Czech Medal of Merit. His cause of death was cancer. He was buried at St Paul's Church, Covent Garden.
