Eldar Ryazanov (* 18. November 1927 in Samara; † 30. November 2015 in Moscow) was a soviet and Russian film director. He was 88 years old. He was married to Zoya Fomina. He studied at Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography. He received 10 awards, including People's Artist of the USSR, Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", 2nd class. His cause of death was myocardial infarction. He was buried at Novodevichy Cemetery.
