Biography of Hermann Abendroth

Hermann Abendroth (* 19. January 1883 in Frankfurt; † 29. May 1956 in Jena) was a deutscher Dirigent und Politiker, MdV. He was 73 years old. He studied at University of Music and Theatre Munich. He worked at Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln and University of Music and Theatre Leipzig. He received 5 awards, including National Prize of East Germany, Patriotic Order of Merit in Silver. His cause of death was stroke. He was buried at Historical Cemetery, Weimar.
