James Black (* 14. June 1924 in Uddingston; † 22. March 2010 in London) was a scottish doctor and pharmacologist. He was 85 years old. His education included University of St Andrews, University of Dundee and Beath High School. He received 10 awards, including InBev-Baillet Latour Health Prize, Lasker-DeBakey Clinical Medical Research Award. His cause of death was prostate cancer. He was buried at Burial Ground, Ardclach Old Parish Church.
